AGING
Cut These Foods Out Of Your Diet To Reduce The Risk Of Cardiac Arrest. Cardiac arrest is a sudden and severe medical emergency where the heart abruptly stops beating, leading to a halt in blood flow to the brain and other vital organs. Unlike a heart attack, cardiac arrest is typically due to an electrical malfunction in the heart that disrupts its rhythm.
Is Ozempic ruining your teeth?. Despite their widely touted benefits — primarily weight loss and diabetes control, among others — GLP-1 medications have also been linked to some unwelcome side effects. In addition to the main complaints of gastrointestinal issues, some lesser-known side effects have emerged, including mood changes, hair loss, and “Ozempic face.”
Guide to Non-Wheat Flours. It’ll work in pies, cakes, and cookies, but you may need to use a little less of it if the recipe calls for wheat flour. You can get white or brown rice flour. Brown has a slightly nuttier taste and grittier texture. Try some rice flour chocolate cake if you’re trying to cut back on traditional wheat flour.

HEALTH
Lower Your Risk for Atrial Fibrillation. If you’ve ever felt unexpected palpitations, quivering, or fluttering in your chest that lasts more than a few seconds, atrial fibrillation (Afib) is one of the conditions your doctor will want to rule out.
Tips for Snacks if You’re on a Keto Diet. Diets require a great deal of discipline, and it’s always good to be prepared when hunger strikes between meals. Finding easy snacks on a keto diet can be especially challenging if you don’t have low-carb, high-fat foods readily available. However, with a bit of extra planning, you can enjoy many keto-friendly snacks throughout the day that will keep you satiated while staying within your macronutrient limits.
Blood Clot Symptoms to Know. It’s a clump of cells and protein in your blood. A clot helps slow bleeding when you’re injured. It usually dissolves as you heal. But if it doesn’t, or if it forms when it’s not needed, it can clog up or completely block a blood vessel.

PAIN RELIEF
Signs Your Muscle Pain Is Something Else. Fibromyalgia is a condition that makes your muscles ache and feel stiff. If you have it, you may be more sensitive to pain than most people. You’ll also feel the pain all over your body, on both sides, and above and below your waist. You may also experience fatigue and brain fog.
A Yale Medicine rheumatologist describes the most effective therapies. While joint pain and swelling are common symptoms of more than 100 different forms of arthritis, rheumatoid arthritis (RA) can damage more than a person’s joints.

MEMORY LOSS
When a Loved One Has Alzheimer’s Disease. It’s normal for people to become a bit forgetful as they age. So, how can you tell a harmless “senior moment” from Alzheimer’s disease? One in nine people 65 and older has this devastating form of dementia. In its first stages, Alzheimer’s may not be obvious to friends and family. But there are some early warning signs to watch for.
Reasons for Memory Loss. First, it’s harder to recall things when you haven’t slept. Second, sleep strengthens the bonds between brain cells that help you remember for the long term. Third, it’s harder to form memories in the first place when your mind is wandering because of a lack of sleep. Good sleep hygiene can help: aim for 8 hours of sleep per night, exercise daily, maintain a regular sleep schedule, and limit alcohol and caffeine consumption late in the day.

Tart Cherry Juice: Benefits and Warnings. Tart cherries—in particular, tart cherry juice—have gotten much attention over the past 10 years or so, primarily because of their powerful plant-based phytonutrients. Also known as sour or Montmorency cherries, these tangy yet somewhat sweet-tart cherries are mainly grown in Michigan, New York, Utah, Washington, and Wisconsin. They are available in both dried and concentrated forms.
